PGA Golf Instruction at Strawberry Creek

The teaching program at Strawberry Creek has 2 experienced PGA Golf Professionals available for lessons and clinics for players of all ages and abilities. They offer numerous lesson packages and a variety of weekly clinics over the summer utilizing state-of-the-art technology with digital video. Over the winter season, members can work on their swings INDOORs and get lessons to prepare for the spring or any winter trips they have planned.

Head PGA Professional, Dave Hilgenberg has worked for over 30 years as a golf instructor for juniors, ladies, and top quality amateurs. As a head professional for over 30 years, Dave has worked throughout his career with members with all interests and ability. He has attended numerour teaching and club-fitting seminars and uses a "common sense" approach to assist players in improvment in their golf. Dave was a highly successful amateur player and is also a former Iowa PGA Section Champion, as well as a past Nebraska Section President.

Connor Reeves, PGA Apprentices from the Kenosha area. Connor will be expanding his teaching times and availability for the coming year. He has worked on individual lessons, clinics, and junior golf the past 4 seasons and is very experienced in use of the V-1 video teaching system.

Strawberry Creek also hosts a Junior Golf Academy every year during the summer to get our young players off to a great start in the game. The focus of this camp is on fundamentals, etiquette, and playing golf by the rules. Throughout the summer, there will also be opportunities for a more in depth focus on the game for those kids interested in competitive high school or college golf in the future.
